For those interested in how the aftermath of the crash landing of High Lady, former Factory Demonstrator N7612, proud “flagship” on Google Search results for Supermarine Aircraft Mk.26B and the “face of Wikipedia” of that subject, plays out, I’ve set up this topic.

Current state (18-12-2022):  most likely outcome is our foundation will purchase an approximately 80% completed Mk.26B kit (serial 81) as well as the remains of High Lady (serial 77) to function as donor for the 81 kit (avionics/instrumentation/rear seat). After those elements have been transplanted to kit 81, the rest of High Lady will be stored in a sea container, awaiting the reboot of Supermarine. And the growth of the bank account of our foundation. When SM is rebooted and we have sufficient funds on our bank account and enough volunteers that agree to it, we will order front and aft main spar and some cowling and instruments/avionics and gradually rebuilt her to an Airworthy state. A detailed YouTube video shows kit 81 in its current state can be seen here on YouTube

I’ve just learned, this forum apparently doesn’t support the “edit” function: in my haste to post a couple of topics, I’ve made some typo’s. Sorry!

Edit to the Edit: Fred activated the Edit function just now! Thanks Fred!
